Incredibly child friendly and playful Cavachons are loyal dogs and will develop a strong bond with family members. They are rather social dogs who enjoy being centre of attention. The intelligence of Cavachon puppies makes them relatively easy to train. They can be barkers, but if trained early on that can be addressed!
Cavachon puppies are high maintenance when it comes to grooming. They need to visit the grooming salon roughly every 6 – 8 weeks, brushed daily and bathed at regular intervals.
For the most part, Cavachon puppies are a generally healthy breed. Because they are cross bred, they’re less likely to develop congenital conditions than pure bred dogs, simply because the gene pool is much larger. Of course, we aren’t saying that they’re not prone to developing certain conditions. Some of the conditions most likely to affect Cavachon puppies include ear infections, heart murmurs, eye problems, and flea allergies. The average lifespan of Cavachons is between10 and 15 years.
The ideal home environment for Cavachon puppies is one where they will be loved and receive tons of affection and attention. Happy to please and highly sociable, this is a lovely little cross breed that makes a fantastic house partner no matter the size of your home.
