The Schnauzer is a non-moulting breed, therefore the coat of the Schnauzer needs to be brushed and groomed on a regular basis; when cut to show standard it has bushy eyebrows, bristly, stubby moustache and chin whiskers. However many owners prefer their dogs just to have a ‘puppy’ clip – which keeps them looking a little more scruffy.
It’s a cheeky, amenable breed which is a great addition to any family. They enjoy a good walk but are not too demanding in terms of exercise, so make a great house dog.
The Miniature Schnauzer will tolerate other dogs, cats and children and makes a fabulous addition to any household.
The coat will need attention roughly every 8 – 10 weeks at the grooming salon, and will need brushing on a daily basis.
